The Adams American Legion Post 146 is a staple of the community. Below information can be found on Legion and fund raiser event information including: chicken, steak, and fish fry, hamburger and taco feeds and other Legion events.

The mission of the American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.

Son's of American Legion

The Sons of the American Legion is a patriotic service organization which is made up of male descendants of people who served in the United States Armed Forces during times specified by the American Legion. Their main mission is to sponsor programs that its parent organization, The American Legion, does to improve veterans’ communities, such as scholarships, veterans help programs (i.e. ending veterans homelessness), and youth sports. They also promote national security, patriotism, and devotion to veterans.

Legion Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) is the largest organization in the world dedicated to veteran service for women. Founded in 1919, the organization consists of around 800,000 members in 9,500 communities across the United States. American Legion Auxiliary members and volunteers help out veterans and other former and current members of the military along with their families through volunteer hours, programs, and an increased presence in Washington, D.C.
